Nestled in the heart of Kent, in the picturesque village of Sutton Valence, we have been established for over 30 years and offer fun & affordable racing from our dual purpose, family run yard. We are within easy reach of flat, all weather and national hunt racecourses and are handily placed for racing on the continent.
We have trained a Group winner on the flat (currently still in the yard) and have even taken horses to race on the ice in St. Moritz (once finishing runner up in their festival’s feature race). We can give you involvement in the racing experience to whatever level you wish; buying, breaking, nurturing, training, entering, racing and socialising.
Our purpose built yard and experienced staff provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for both horses and owners, and we specialise in providing individual specialist care for all our horses. We have an all weather circular gallop plus two hill grass gallops, a schooling field and miles of hacking which enables us to vary our training regime keeping the horses fit and fresh.
Linda Jewell has been training racehorses and producing competition horses for over 30 years. She was a successful amateur jockey and was one of the first women to be granted a flat licence. Linda pre trained and freshened horses up for several trainers for many years, alongside running a livery yard and buying and producing young horses. Seeing the horses go back to the their trainers and running well fuelled her ambition to take out her own licence.
Linda has had a successful career training both Flat and National Hunt horses and is assisted by her daughter Karen.
