About:

I'm based near Tadcaster, North Yorkshire and cover all areas of Yorkshire and surrounding areas. I enrolled at Bishop Burton College after completing three years studying I left with my BHS stage 1,2 & 3 exams.

Since then I've competed my own horses and worked for various yards in Yorkshire from a racing yard at Hazel Wood Castle to Samuel Smith's Old Brewery where i worked with the shires delivering beer around Tadcaster. To last but not least a job at Bramham Park working with event horses and hunters. But I was never really satisfied with working for other people and knew I was never going to be a world beating rider so wanted to make a difference some other way and it was only after having my own horses teeth treated I felt and saw the difference it made in the horses performance. I then knew that this was the career for me.

Then after having a big struggle to get my foot in the door, and spending an awful lot of money on a two week course (which I now realise it takes years to learn the profession and not weeks!) I landed a job out of the blue working for Sally Kingsley Equine Vet and Equine Dental Technician thanks to my farrier, so since 2006 I've worked as Sally's apprentice and trained on all the relevant British Equine Veterinary Association/ British association of Equine Dental Technicians courses. Leading up to me passing my Final Exams Earlier this year! I also had the opportunity to travel to Egypt with Sally and do some charity work for Animal Care Egypt in Luxor which was a great experience, between myself and Sally we treated around 60 donkey's/horses and I even ended up been roped into assisting the vets in surgery, stitching a donkey's eye lid back on and unfortunately saw the sad effects of two donkeys with tetanus.
