About:

Luisa graduated from Hartpury College, University of the West of England with a BSc (Hons) Equine Science degree, before completing a postgraduate MSc in Animal Manipulation from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, enabling her to qualify as a McTimoney Animal therapist.

Her academic qualifications, completed over six years, covered theoretic tuition in areas such as veterinary medicine, neurology, myology, osteology, arthrology, clinical assessment, gait analysis, and functional anatomy; as well as in practical skills of animal manipulation.

Her postgraduate thesis investigated the effects of McTimoney treatment on pressure pain thresholds in the horse, with promising results. Luisa also holds certificates in Merishia Animal Massage and Canine First Aid.

McTimoney treatment is a holistic, non-invasive physical therapy that realigns and balances the animal's musculoskeletal system by correcting subtle misalignments of the skeleton and associated muscle tension using quick, precise, gentle adjustments, which are usually readily accepted and enjoyed by most animals. Horses, dogs and even farm animals can be treated.
