COMPETITION AND SCHOOLING LIVERY
Finding an experienced, sensitive rider to compete or school your horse can be difficult. All too often things can go wrong. How easy it is to make serious mistakes during the education of your horse; some of which can be difficult and time consuming to resolve.
This is avoidable with observation, sensitivity and knowledge. The behaviour of your horse is paramount, knowing his character, temperament, preferences, aversions and attitude. Diligent observation for signs of tiring during training is vital for evaluation of strength. With patience and respect, knowledge of what is reasonable and more importantly, unreasonable together with a crystal clear understanding of the state of mind of the horse, a strong foundation can be laid.
Hacking is not just a jolly! Varying your horse’s work is part of the training program. It improves his skills, suppleness and calmness and best maintains his mental health.
