About:

I was born in Ireland and following a career as a stable lad and pretty moderate (cowboy) jump-jockey, I then moved to Australia for four and a half years, before settling in England in 1995. I was granted a trainer's license in May 2002 and set up my yard in Spalding, South Lincolnshire.

In October 2010, we moved to our new training premises just outside Boston from where we have already saddled 70 winners and many placings. We have a small yard with fifteen stables for horses in training and three further stables for out of work or resting animals. We have a small yard with fifteen stables for horses in training and three further stables for out of work or resting animals. Our premises comprises 20 acres of farmland with two large paddocks where the horses are turned out in pairs after exercise each day. Most of our owners have been with us for several years now. For example, the Marsh family, who have been a huge support to the yard, have been with us now for nearly ten years and we have won getting close to 100 winners together.

My training format is a simple one. The horses canter in deep sand, riderless, round an 80 metre circuit. This, together with a sensible diet, conditions them in preparation for more serious galloping in either Newmarket or Southwell racecourse to put the finishing touches on before racing.
