About:

Angela Gladding is a freelance dressage trainer and rider who started riding at the age of 3, and over the years became involved with helping out at her local riding school on the weekends and during school holidays - this was a fantastic opportunity where she got to ride, break and train numerous different horses of all ages and levels.

After taking her A Levels Angela went to Wellington Riding to study the BHS Exams where she gained her Stages 1, 2 and 3, Riding and Road Safety and BHSPT and has now gone on to become a registered Instructor with the BHS. Having trained with two of the best trainers in the country, Andrew Gould and Emile Faurie, Angela has gained a wealth of knowledge on training horses up to advanced level.

She now trains her horses with Sara-Jane Lanning who is a fantastic support and mentor. Angela specialises in teaching the 'unconventional' and quirky dressage horse, and enjoys a challenge. It is a firm belief that any horse, as long as it is correctly trained, can compete to a high level. She uses a balance of pole work, ground work and ridden work with both her own and her clients' horses to provide the foundations for the scales of training.

Working with beginners to riders competing at a more advanced level, Angela enjoys teaching a wide variety of clients and horses.
