About:

As someone who has been passionate about horses from an early age, having ridden and owned several horses, I am more than aware how important it is to maintain your horse's teeth and gums. It is vital your horse has regular dental check ups and at the slightest sign of trouble you should contact your local equine dentist, or myself.

I have been a practising equine dentist in Leicestershire, Derbyshire and the Midlands since 2005 and have studied at the American School of Equine Dentistry, British Equine Veterinary Association and the International Association of Equine Dentistry.

Services:

  • External head and oral examination
  • general care and hygiene of the mouth
  • basic float (removal of sharp point on upper and lower teeth, mouth balancing)
  • bit seating if required or necessary
  • ageing
  • removal of tartar
  • removal of incisor Caps (baby teeth)
  • removal of Pre Molar Caps (baby teeth)
  • remedial work carried out which includes - Removal of Wolf teeth (under sedation), hooks, ramps, steps, waves, ETR (excessive Transverse ridges), Incisor re alignment.

Ever since a young age, I have ridden, owned and worked with horses (mainly show jumpers). At the start of my career I was lucky enough to gain valuable experience travelling with the British 3-day event team to the European Championships and World Games.

My experiences to-date have given me a very good grounding in Equine Dentistry as I have come into contact with many horses all with different temperaments which is very important when dealing with horses and ponies in a dentistry capacity.
