About:

Rebecca Evans BSc (Hons) is focused on providing high-quality equine dental care by ensuring oral function and comfort is achieved with every horse treated. I offer both routine and advanced dental treatments using hand rasps and also the latest power equipment, whilst employing the latest and most up to date techniques. I believe regular dental care is paramount for dealing with irregularities before allowing them to develop into a major problem. I am North Wales Based but I also cover areas in the North west. For 7 or more horses I will travel anywhere within a 100 mile radius of Holywell or Cheshire. I first became interested in equine dentistry at around the age of 14 years old. Watching an EDT regularly treat one of my own horses which suffered from a parrot mouth intrigued me, from there on I decided I wanted to train to be an EDT myself. Not long after deciding my career choice I went off to Gloucester to do a National Diploma in Horse management at Hartpury College, this took 2 years. This was a stepping stone to enable me to gain a place on the BSc (hons) Degree course in Equine Dental science also at Hartpury College. I was successful in gaining a place and thoroughly enjoyed my three years of studying at uni. Alongside studying I also worked with several different BEVA/BVDA qualified EDT's. After graduating in 2010, I worked towards gaining my BEVA/BVDA qualification by spending countless days out with BEVA/BVDA qualified EDT’s. And in February 2012 I very pleased to pass my BEVA exam and become a member of the BAEDT. Having been brought up around horses, I have always had a passion for all things equine. I have constantly kept and ridden horses, although I am most fond of show jumping but have also competed in other equestrian disciplines.
